Commercial Lawyer – Pharmacy, Medical & Pharmaceutical Industries

3–5 Years PQE | Regulatory, Commercial & M&A

We are a specialist commercial law firm advising clients across the pharmacy and healthcare sector.

We are seeking a Commercial Lawyer with approximately 3–5 years PQE to join our practice.

This is an opportunity to develop a genuinely specialised practice combining commercial law, regulatory advisory and transactional work, while working closely with clients on matters that are central to the operation and growth of their businesses.

The Role

You will work directly with our senior staff and clients across a broad range of regulatory and commercial matters, including:

·         Regulatory licensing and approvals;

·         Advising on regulatory compliance and the application of Commonwealth and State legislation to healthcare businesses;

·         Acting on business and share and other acquisitions and disposals, mergers, investments and corporate restructures;

·         Preparing and negotiating transaction documents, including business sale agreements, share sale or other financial supply agreements and ancillary documents;

·         Advising clients on commercial structuring, governance and risk management; and

·         Working with clients, accountants, financiers and other professional advisers to progress transactions from initial instructions through to completion.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take meaningful responsibility for matters and develop direct client relationships, with appropriate supervision and support.

About You

We are looking for a lawyer who:

·         Has approximately 3–5 years post-admission experience in commercial, corporate, or transactional law in specifically in highly regulated industries;

·         Has strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills;

·         Is commercially minded and comfortable working directly with clients;

·         Can manage multiple transactions and advisory matters simultaneously;

·         Has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills;

·         Enjoys working in industries where commercial advice and regulatory requirements frequently intersect; and

·         Is interested in developing deep expertise in the healthcare and life sciences sectors.

Previous experience working across the pharmacy or healthcare industries will be highly regarded.

Candidates with experience in areas such as pharmacy regulation, healthcare transactions, regulatory licensing and compliance are particularly encouraged to apply.
