As a Disability Support Worker in Colac, Victoria, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities.
• Encourage and support clients in participating in community activities and social events.
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring clients can access necessary services.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Disability (Or willingness to obtain)
• A genuine interest in supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic understanding of disability support practices and principles.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to undergo relevant training and background checks.

Shift Requirements:

This role will require you to work mornings, evenings, weekends and overnight supports.
