We are looking for a Broker Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and customer service skills who is interested in developing a career in insurance broking.

Previous insurance experience is welcome, but not essential. We are happy to train the right person.

The Opportunity

As a Broker Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced brokers and support the day-to-day management of a portfolio of strata insurance clients. The role offers flexible hybrid working arrangements, with a combination of working from our office and from home.

This is not simply an administrative role. You will gain practical exposure to insurance broking, underwriting, claims and client service, with the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as your knowledge and experience develop.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting brokers with the preparation and processing of policy renewals.

• Liaising with clients, insurers, underwriters and other stakeholders.

• Preparing quotations, policy documentation and client correspondence.

• Processing policy changes and general insurance administration.

• Responding to incoming calls and client enquiries.

• Maintaining accurate client and policy records.

• Following up outstanding information with clients and insurers.

• Supporting brokers with general broking and administrative tasks.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is organised, professional and keen to learn.

You will ideally have:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Good organisation and time management skills.

• Confidence communicating with clients by phone and email.

• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

• Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks.

• A genuine interest in developing a career in insurance.

Experience in insurance, strata, property, administration, financial services or customer service will be highly regarded, although previous insurance experience is not required.
