Role Description The Financial Analyst (Entry-Level) role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Sydney, NSW, with a mix of on-site work and the option to work from home for designated tasks. The role involves assisting with financial planning activities, including budget preparation, forecast updates, and tracking of key financial metrics. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting financial reporting, helping analyze financial statements, and preparing concise summaries and dashboards for leadership. The analyst will gather and validate data, perform basic variance and trend analyses, and contribute to internal presentations and reports that inform strategic and operational decisions. This role also includes collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial information for clinical and operational projects.QualificationsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide clear insights.Foundational knowledge of finance and financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting.Understanding of financial statements and financial reporting processes.Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel or similar software).Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.Attention to detail, sound numerical reasoning, and the ability to work accurately with datasets.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Interest in biotechnology, healthcare, or clinical research environments is beneficial.Ability to manage time effectively in a part-time, hybrid setting and meet deadlines reliably.
