Store Manager - Chatswood Chase

At Oscar Wylee Chatswood Chase, we're looking for a passionate Store Manager to lead, inspire and develop our team while delivering exceptional customer experiences and strong commercial results.

You'll work closely with our Optometrists and Optical Dispensers to bring together professional eye care, eyewear styling and exceptional service. As Store Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day performance of your store while creating an environment where your team can grow and succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing retail team
• Drive sales, customer experience and overall store performance
• Oversee day-to-day store operations, compliance and performance standards
• Manage rosters, budgets and labour efficiency
• Coach your team to achieve performance goals through genuine customer care – not pushy sales tactics
• Provide hands-on support with sales, service and the customer journey
• Partner closely with Optometrists and Optical Dispensers to deliver an exceptional experience
• Build a positive, engaged and results-focused team culture

About You

You'll bring:

• Previous leadership experience in retail – whether that's as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Team Leader or similar
• A proven ability to coach, motivate and develop team members
• Experience managing or contributing to rosters, labour planning and store performance
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• A commercial mindset and desire to continue developing your leadership capabilities

Mandarin-speaking capability is highly regarded but not essential for this role.

Previous optical or optics experience will also be highly regarded, however it isn't essential. We'll provide the training and support you need to develop your knowledge of optical retail, and some of our most successful store leaders have joined us from outside the industry.

Earnings

• Base salary up to $72,000 + superannuation
• Average On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $88,225 with uncapped earning potential
• Performance-based commission, giving high performers the opportunity to earn above the average OTE
