About the Role

This is a hands-on role where you'll spend most of your day on the tools while also helping support the smooth operation of the workshop.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, diagnosing and repairing earthmoving equipment, trucks and diesel machinery

• Carrying out fault finding and complex mechanical repairs

• Assisting with coordinating daily workshop workflow

• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians

• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, efficiency and safety

• Working closely with the owners and office team regarding job progress, scheduling and parts requirements

• Identifying opportunities to improve workshop efficiency, organisation and processes

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys producing quality work, takes pride in what you do and likes being part of a positive, close-knit team.

Ideally you'll have:

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Fitter or equivalent

• Experience servicing and repairing a variety of earthmoving equipment, trucks and heavy diesel machinery ideally across different workshops or sites, not limited to a single mining operation

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• The ability to work independently and assist others when needed

• A positive attitude and genuine interest in growing long-term with a business that's just getting started on something big

• Excellent communication skills

• A current driver's licence (HR licence highly regarded)
