About the role
About Us
Ocius Technology is an Australian company that builds autonomous Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs). These USVs use the energy of the weather - sun, wind, and waves, to act as persistent monitoring and communications platforms. We are embarking on an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations around Australia and beyond.
The Role
The Manufacturing team at Ocius bring together advanced engineering, communications, autonomous systems and a resilient supply chain to deliver complex, mission-critical solutions reliably, on time and at scale. Strong collaboration across engineering, testing, and the operations team supports manufacturability, continuous improvement and the effective sustainment of deployed fleets. The Procurement Officer ensures that Ocius has the raw materials, finished goods and inventory required to continue to build and operate our fleet of Bluebottle USVs. The role will work closely with Supply Chain, Production, Operations and Engineering to provide accurate purchase orders, timely order ETA's and excellent ERP data to assist to ensure Ocius is meeting key deliverables for our customers and projects
Selection Criteria
5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or subcontractor management within a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.
Proven experience managing supplier and subcontractor relationships, including delivery performance, commercial discussions, and issue resolution.
Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) to manage procurement activities and support planning, reporting, and process improvements.
Demonstrated ability to develop and improve procurement, supply chain, or operational processes, systems, and ways of working.
Strong commercial, organisational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance cost, schedule, quality, and operational priorities.
Familiarity with supplier agreements, commercial terms, and contract administration.
Experience with logistics, freight coordination, export controls, or ITAR-related activities.
Experience in a startup environment developing procurement metrics, reporting, dashboards, or performance monitoring tools.
Able to work onsite in Alexandria 4 days a week.
