Production Manager - Fabrication

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager – Fabrication to join our team in Henderson and take a key leadership role across our production operations.

Reporting to the General Manager – Fabrication, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of production activities across our fabrication and surface treatment operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on ensuring production is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to specification, while driving productivity, resource utilisation and continuous improvement across the workshop.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and coordinate Supervisors and Leading Hands across active projects.

• Plan and manage labour, plant, equipment and production resources.

• Manage IKAD's CNC processing team and equipment.

• Work closely with Project Managers to prioritise and sequence production activities.

• Identify and resolve production constraints, bottlenecks and technical issues.

• Monitor production schedules, output, costs and performance against project requirements.

• Drive production KPIs including output, rework and schedule performance.

• Work with Quality to ensure inspection requirements and quality standards are achieved.

• Maintain a strong focus on WHS compliance and safe work practices.

• Drive continuous improvement to increase throughput, reduce waste and improve efficiency.

• Lead, develop and support Supervisors and production teams to build a high-performing workshop culture.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in fabrication supervision or management.

• Demonstrated experience managing large production teams of 50+ personnel.

• Strong fabrication and production knowledge.

• Proven production planning and scheduling experience.

• Strong understanding of resource allocation, productivity and cost control.

• Experience with CAD software and ERP/MRP systems.

• Operational understanding of welding, fabrication and CNC machinery.

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Current WA Driver's Licence.

• Relevant trade qualification and/or tertiary qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing Management highly regarded.

Experience or qualifications in Welding Supervision/Inspection, Production Management, Engineering, Business Management or HSE will also be highly regarded.
