Role Purpose:

The Permanent, Full-time Graphic Designer reports into a Senior Graphic Designer, producing high quality, fully accessible design work for internal and external audiences across a range of media including print, digital and video content.

Key Accountabilities:

• Create engaging, accessible, and on-brand design assets across print, digital, and video channels.
• Design marketing, fundraising, and communications materials that support Guide Dogs NSW/ACT's mission and brand.
• Produce a range of collateral including brochures, direct mail, presentations, social media content, banners, eDMs, and promotional materials.
• Develop accessible documents, templates, and PDFs that meet WCAG accessibility standards.
• Remediate existing content to improve accessibility and usability for people with disability.
• Conduct basic accessibility testing using assistive technologies, including screen readers.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver creative solutions that achieve results.
• Provide advice and guidance on brand consistency, design best practice, and accessible content creation.
• Work closely with external suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects.
• Support the ongoing development of design systems, templates, and style guides.
• Stay up to date with emerging design trends, accessibility standards, and assistive technologies.
• Contribute to a collaborative, values-driven team culture that puts our clients, supporters, and community at the centre of everything we do.

Essential Experience:

• 2-3 years relevant work experience in a Junior Graphic Design role producing high-quality graphic design work across print, digital and video channels.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
• Experience creating engaging visual content that aligns with brand guidelines and business objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple design projects from concept through to delivery while meeting deadlines.
• Strong understanding of accessible design principles, with experience creating content that meets WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience creating or remediating accessible documents, templates and PDFs.
• Familiarity with accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies such as screen readers.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly creating accessible Word and PowerPoint templates.
• Experience producing a range of marketing and communications materials, including brochures, presentations, social media assets, eDMs and promotional collateral.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and provide design guidance across the organisation.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
• A creative mindset with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience with video editing and motion graphics using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects is highly regarded.
• A portfolio showcasing creative, accessible and effective design solutions across multiple channels.
