THE ROLE
An exciting new opportunity exists at a leading commercial furniture manufacturing and supply company for a role as an Estimator.
Zenith are recruiting for a customer focused, highly motivated estimating professional. Your chief responsibility will be the accurate preparation of quotes and tenders for the Sales Team. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment are the keys to success in this role.
The position is a permanent full-time role based out of Zenith’s Canberra showroom which offers a fun supportive environment, negotiable salary and career progression opportunities to the right candidate.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES
Reporting to the State Manager, the key accountability of the Estimator role is to prepare quotes and tenders (with particular attention to workstation planning) for the commercial furniture industry, with the aim of winning tenders and quotes while maximising profit and industry share.
To fulfill this role, some of your duties will include:
Prepare quotes and tender pricing for the sales team.
Responding to website enquiries.
Entry of accepted quotes into system ready for project managers to order.
Assist with preparing tender responses and submissions.
Sending our quote requests to suppliers and contractors.
Tender drawing take offs for sales team, and an understanding thereof.
Administration of contracts
Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring all relevant issues are communicated and escalated to avoid delays.
Direct communication with clients, builders, and project managers.
Support the sales team in hosting clients and guests in the showroom, including preparing for meetings, presentations and events.
Assist with general office administration, including answering phones, coordinating couriers, ordering office supplies and maintaining a professional showroom environment.
Maintain clear documentation in line with Quality Assured systems and processes.
Promote a positive culture and always uphold company policies and values.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Motivated self-starter with a customer focus who works well in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills.
Well organised and a team player.
Commercial furniture experience would be an advantage, preferably with workstations.
Knowledge or experience in planning and estimating is preferred.
An understanding of the importance of estimating in the process of ‘winning work’.
Client-focused with the ability to work collaboratively with team members, clients and partners.
Excellent time management and ability to multi-task.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with attention to Excel and Word.
Knowledge of Pronto preferred.
