About the role
If you enjoy helping people, take pride in delivering great customer service, and have a positive, can-do attitude, we'd love to hear from you. We are seeking a friendly and motivated team member to support the Schoolbuses Branch of the Public Transport Authority (PTA). In this rewarding role, you will assist students, families, schools, and contractors by responding to enquiries, processing student transport assistance applications and conveyance allowance claims, and helping to resolve questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism. Every day brings an opportunity to make a difference by ensuring customers receive timely, accurate, and supportive service.
This position is ideal for someone who is keen to learn, enjoys a mix of customer service and administrative work, and is comfortable using basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office. You will support the administration of school bus contracts, prepare correspondence and documentation, assist with research tasks, and work closely with a supportive team. If you are organised, enjoy building positive relationships, can manage your workload effectively, and are passionate about providing quality service, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to an important service that supports students and their families.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
To be eligible to work permanently at the PTA you must be either an Australian Citizen, have Permanent Residency status or hold a current visa with permanent working rights in Australia.
