Senior Planner

About the role

As Senior Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and managing project programmes from planning and mobilisation through to completion. Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and other key stakeholders, you will provide accurate programme reporting, identify potential delays and risks, and support the delivery team in keeping projects on track.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage detailed construction programmes.

• Prepare and maintain baseline and updated project schedules.

• Manage project programming using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

• Monitor project progress against approved programmes and key milestones.

• Provide regular programme updates, reporting and forecasting to project stakeholders.

• Undertake critical path, float and delay analysis.

• Identify programme risks, constraints and potential delays and develop mitigation strategies.

• Prepare short-term look-ahead programmes and recovery programmes where required.

• Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to ensure programme activities accurately reflect construction methodologies and progress.

• Coordinate programme interfaces across electrical, AV, communications and other project scopes.

About you

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Planner, Project Planner or Senior Scheduler within construction.

• Strong experience developing and managing construction programmes.

• Advanced Primavera P6 skills.

• Experience working on complex commercial, infrastructure, data centre, electrical or building services projects is highly regarded.

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies and project delivery.

• Experience with critical path analysis, progress reporting and schedule forecasting.

• Strong understanding of project controls and programme risk management.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
