About the role

We are seeking a Logistics Customer Service Clerk to join the team in Brooklyn, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support throughout their logistics and distribution experience. As Logistics Customer Service Clerk, you will be the key point of contact for our clients, handling enquires, coordinating shipments, and maintaining accurate records to ensure smooth warehouse and distribution operations.

This role is essential to maintaining reputation for reliability and customer excellence in the warehousing, storage and distribution sector.

Key responsibilities

1. Managing customer enquiries and providing timely, accurate information regarding shipments, deliveries, and warehouse services

2. Processing and coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete

3. Maintaining detailed records of customer orders, inventory, and logistics transactions using warehouse management systems

4. Liaising with warehouse staff, drivers and customers to resolve shipping delays or discrepancies

5. Preparing and distributing shipping documentation, manifests, and delivery confirmations

6. Monitoring delivery schedules and proactively notifying customers of estimated arrival times

7. Handling customer complaints professionally and escalating complex issues to management when necessary

8. Data entry and updating of customer information and shipment details in company systems

9. Supporting the logistics team with administrative tasks and ad-hoc duties as required

What we're looking for

1. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal teams

2. Experience in a logistics, warehousing or distribution environment, or proven experience in a customer service role within a fast-paced environment

3. Proficiency with computer systems and warehouse management software; experience with logistics tracking systems is advantageous

4. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when handling multiple shipments and customer requests

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing priorities effectively in a busy warehouse setting

6. Strong written and verbal communication skills

7. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle customer concerns calmly and professionally

8. Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to support peak trading periods when required

9. A valid driver's licence is preferred, though not essential
