Lead the delivery and coordination of Year 3 of the CDU Menzies Medical Program, shaping future doctors through innovative medical education, clinical placements, and curriculum development tailored to the unique healthcare needs of the Northern Territory.
About the Position
As the Senior Lecturer Clinical Medicine, you will provide academic leadership for the development, delivery and coordination of Year 3 of the CDU Menzies Medical Program (CMMP). Working closely with Clinical Deans, supervisors, adjunct faculty and placement partners, you will oversee clinical placements, scientific streams, conference weeks and asynchronous learning activities. You will ensure curriculum, assessment and evaluation processes align with Australian Medical Council (AMC) accreditation standards while supporting CDU's commitment to increasing the number of locally trained and First Nations doctors serving Northern Territory communities.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualification in medical education or equivalent industry experience in clinical medicine teaching and a distinguished record in medical education
• Demonstrated experience in clinical medicine education, including curriculum development and assessment design for clinical medicine
• Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and mentorship of medical students. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, clinical colleagues, and students from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in medical education.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cultural safety, First Nations culture and health, rural and remote medicine.
· Commitment to the University’s values.
Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and a valid NT Working with Children clearance
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level C. The base salary will be in the range of $138,554.22 – $162,146.91 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $162,108.44 - $189,711.88 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
