Teacher (Music)

Position Details: 
Sacred Heart School is a single-stream Catholic Primary School located in the heart of Mundaring with 228 students. Our school is warm and friendly, offering high-quality education and a genuine sense of community to our students and their families.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and exceptional Music Teacher to join our school community. The successful applicant will be a passionate and inspiring educator who fosters a love of music and performance in students through engaging, inclusive, and high-quality learning experiences. They will demonstrate strong knowledge of the Music curriculum, effective classroom practice, and a commitment to developing students' musical skills, creativity, confidence, and appreciation of the arts. The ability to plan and deliver innovative music programs, direct performances and ensembles, and encourage active participation in the cultural life of the school will be highly valued.

Selection Criteria:

The successful application will:
• be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
• demonstrate a passion for Music education and the ability to foster students' musical skills, creativity, confidence, and enjoyment of music through engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
• possess the ability to lead and support music performances, ensembles, liturgical celebrations, and other school events that enrich the cultural and spiritual life of the school.
• have a strong understanding of the developmental needs of children.
• offer a differentiated curriculum to cater for children of all abilities and assist all students to achieve their full potential.
• have an awareness of 21st century teaching and learning strategies; implement teaching programs that engage all students
• be an organised staff member who shows initiative, flexibility and displays a positive outlook.
• demonstrate highly competent classroom management skills.
• be accredited to teach Religious Education or be willing to undertake the relevant courses.

Qualifications Required:
• a minimum four-year tertiary qualification.
• a current TRBWA and a Working with Children registration.
• Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School (or working towards).
