We require enthusiastic, energetic and entertaining personalities to join our team of passionate guides in presenting our award-winning small group 1 day and custom tours of K'Gari (formally Fraser Island) from Hervey Bay.

If you're a team player, but are still able to work independently you might be the person we're looking for!

The job involves working varying days, and you could be required to work any days during the

week on a rotating roster (our tours operate 6 days a week) - with the exception of Christmas day and Boxing day).

Job Description

• Perform Pre departure safety checks of tour vehicle

• Pick up and drop off of all passengers from destinations within Hervey Bay and surrounding areas

• Drive a tour vehicle as per set itineraries

• Provide informative and interesting commentary

• Attending to all enquiries and requests from customers whilst on tour

• Anticipate customer needs and plan ahead accordingly

• Refuel vehicle as required

• Collect tickets and payments from customers as required

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks

• Return vehicle directly to depot after tour

• Wash and clean vehicle after tour

Person Specification

Pleasant manner and ability to relate well to people of all ages

Applicants must be 25+ years of age

Neat presentation

Outgoing personality

Sound driving skills

Minimum 1 year of Light Rigid (LR) driving experience required for tour vehicle operation

Strong public speaking ability

High level of customer service

Even temperament

Previous experience in tourism/guiding industry desirable

Must be willing to work weekends

Australian work rights are required for this position

Qualifications Required

Driver's Certificate/Authority issued by Queensland Transport

Full driver's licence - minimum category Light Rigid (LR)

First Aide Certificate (desirable)
