About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Speech Pathologist to join our client’s team. This role includes conducting patient assessments, creating tailored treatment plans, and collaborating with families, educators, and healthcare professionals. Flexible hours are available, including weekend work if desired, making this a fantastic opportunity for those looking to balance work with other commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat language, speech, and swallowing disorders.
• Design effective treatment plans in collaboration with families and healthcare teams.
• Implement both established and innovative therapy techniques to provide top-quality care.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and available therapies.
• Keep detailed records on patient progress and adjust therapies as necessary.
• Mentor speech therapy students and lead educational workshops.
• Attend conferences and maintain an active professional network to stay current with advancements.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certification and license with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
• Strong knowledge of speech-related disorders and therapies.
• Proficient in database management and record-keeping.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel for home visits and professional conferences.
