Sales Representative

We are a Retail Food Broker that is looking for a Sales Representative in the North Brisbane area, including regional work. The ideal candidate that we are looking for should have a positive attitude and passionate outlook in the retail food market. Our company is a family owned and run business that has been in the Retail Food Broker industry for over 30 years and services a wide range of clientele. The candidate will assist as part of the sales team in meeting and exceeding sales targets and assist with developing the current and new range of products at store level.

What we are looking for is someone with strong FMCG Sales Rep experience and a ‘can do’ attitude. The ideal person will represent our products to independent grocers and maintain a positive and passionate outlook. The role is key to providing product support for our customers, which includes selling products on shelf space, setting up displays, activating and advising on promotions, and offering exceptional customer service. This role comes with a company car, Monday to Friday workdays, and is suited to someone with a positive and resilient attitude.

The role also involves a team environment, communicating with other employees and understanding and supporting our company goals. Servicing existing accounts with current and new product ranges and monitoring competitor products. Experience in sales, retail or supermarket is essential; recent graduates encouraged to apply. With commencement starting immediately.

About the role:

·                 Successfully managing your area and its customers, communicating with independents and chain stores.

·                 Sourcing new business opportunities along the journey plan

·                 Complete field reporting and increased promotional effectiveness and manage task work. This includes actioning planogram work, displays and store checks

·                 Utilise initiative, planning, time management and selling skills to identify opportunities to increase sales and ensure maximum return from your total territory

·                 Retaining and continuing to build great relationships with internal/external stakeholders

·                 Delivering product growth and helping to drive profitability through ranging our mix of products in stores

·                 Establish a strong visual presence in retail outlets, selling in new products whilst maintaining the current range and developing in-store relationships.

Skills and Attributes we are looking for:

·                 To be highly motivated and presentable to store personnel and field team.

·                 Be able to prioritise and balance tasks

·                 Work independently

·                 Have excellent communications and negotiation skills

·                 Punctual and effective time management skills.

·                 Pay attention to detail

·                 Must have sales and merchandising experience

·                 Have basic knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Outlook & Word software) and Apple iPad.  

·                 You MUST have a current and valid Australian driver’s license
