Accountant

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role includes preparing statements and reports to ensure accuracy and conformance to reporting, procedural standards and statutory compliance. You will prepare, examine and analyse financial, accounting and taxation information and assist in providing accurate and practical advice to the business, focused on adding value.

Role includes:

· Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies to ensure financial stability and compliance

· Prepare comprehensive financial statements suitable for presentation to the board of directors, management, shareholders and governing and statutory bodies

· Conduct financial analysis, prepare detailed reports, undertake audits and provide expert advice on various financial matters

· Examine operating costs and analyse income and expenditure to identify opportunities for optimisation

· Provide assurance regarding the accuracy of information within financial reports and ensure compliance with statutory requirements

· Offer expert financial and taxation advice pertaining to business structures, strategic plans and day-to-day operations

· Introduce and maintain accounting systems and advise on the selection and implementation of computer-based accounting systems for efficiency and accuracy

· Maintain internal control systems to safeguard financial assets and ensure data integrity

· Assess cash flow and evaluate the financial risk associated with capital investment projects when necessary

· Offer services related to compliance based financial reporting, auditing, insolvency and accounting information systems. Provide guidance on associated record-keeping requirements

Qualification and Skill Level Required:

· Bachelor Degree in Accounting

· Two years relevant experience in accounting and closely related accounting experience

· Vast knowledge on accounting, taxation, high operational knowledge in accounting systems

· Have strong communication skills and attention to detail

· Have a strong work ethic

· Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

· Be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

· Experience with Sage Intacct advantageous

· Previous job experience in the construction industry preferred

Pay: $85,000.00 per year
