About us
Located at the South Melbourne Market, Smithburg is a casual All-Day-Diner that makes the most of fresh market produce and the creativity of our chefs. Our food is incredible, led by our signature burgers, lobster rolls, pancakes and margaritas - casual American-Diner food served with cocktails and a good time.
Strap yourself in, because this is going to be a fun ride. The market is a busy place and we need hospitality aces to make sure our customers are looked after, orders are pumping out of the kitchen and the drinks are flowing from the bar. Extra points to those who love to curate the soundtrack to a good time.
About you
We are looking for a Sous chef to help take the lead in our busy and creative casual food restaurant. You love food, love to learn, and have demonstrated an ability to execute on busy shifts with a full rail of dockets. You must currently hold a position where you can independently lead shifts, run prep, stocktake and order stock.
Qualifications & experience
4 years + in a high volume kitchen environment
Experience in high volume prep
