Carer

We are seeking a number of experienced Carers with a Certificate III in Aged Care to undertake the role of a Carer at our Allambie Heights village on a casual basis.

The role entails providing care to residents as a member of the care team under the supervision of the Registered Nurse to provide person centred care which includes:

• Empowering our residents to ensure their choices and preferences are met, including serving food and feeding residents when required

• Assisting residents with their daily care needs

• Assisting residents to participate in activities

You will bring:

• A caring and patient outlook and enjoy making a positive impact to our residents everyday lives. 

• A Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent

• Demonstrated experience in an aged care or community health setting and an understanding of issues relating to dementia care

• Previous working knowledge of the aged care industry and person-centred care

• Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships

• Confidence working in a flexible team environment

• Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal

• Intermediate computer literacy

• Ability to speak other languages (desirable but not essential)
