General Manager - RTO

Edutemps is partnering with an established for-purpose education and training organisation to appoint an experienced General Manager.

Reporting to the Board and leading the Senior Leadership Team, the General Manager will guide the organisation through an important period of consolidation and improvement. The immediate priority is to strengthen its people, systems, compliance and operating foundations before pursuing sustainable, value-adding growth.

The role

The General Manager will provide organisation-wide people, operational, financial and governance leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

- Building a positive, accountable and collaborative organisational culture
- Providing clear leadership through change
- Strengthening operational systems, processes and organisational capability
- Embedding compliance, quality and continuous improvement across every function
- Leading RTO re-registration and maintaining audit readiness
- Improving data quality, reporting and visibility of student outcomes
- Overseeing financial performance, risk, governance and Board reporting
- Using technology and AI practically to improve productivity and decision-making
- Delivering the strategic plan and identifying sustainable growth opportunities once strong foundations are in place

Who we are looking for

RTO and VET sector knowledge is essential, while CRICOS experience would be advantageous.

This opportunity may suit an experienced General Manager or a senior leader ready to take the next step. We are looking for a practical, values-led people leader with a proven record of organisational improvement, sound commercial and governance judgement, and the confidence to work closely with a Board.

Your leadership capability and evidence of strengthening people, systems and performance will be more important than a particular job title or length of tenure.
