About the role
ABLE-i is looking for an experienced and reliable Casual Mobile Physiotherapist to provide community-based physiotherapy services in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs, with the opportunity to progressively build a larger caseload across Melbourne’s eastern and south-eastern suburbs.
This role is ideal for a physiotherapist who is already working elsewhere and is looking for flexible additional work alongside their current position.
Initial hours will be limited, with the opportunity to take on additional clients as our caseload in the area grows.
About the role
As a mobile physiotherapist with ABLE-i, you will visit clients in their homes and community settings to provide physiotherapy assessment, treatment and ongoing rehabilitation.
We will organise the referrals, scheduling, administration and invoicing. Your focus will be on providing high-quality physiotherapy, communicating with clients and completing your clinical notes following each appointment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing physiotherapy assessments and treatment in clients' homes and community settings
Developing appropriate treatment and rehabilitation programs
Completing clear and timely clinical notes
Providing person-centred physiotherapy based on each client's goals and needs
Communicating with the ABLE-i team regarding client care when required
Managing your appointments professionally and independently
Supplying and transporting any physiotherapy equipment required to safely and effectively provide services to your clients
What we offer
$60–$90 per hour, depending on experience
$1.00 per kilometre travel reimbursement
Flexible casual work that can fit around your existing employment
Administration, referrals, scheduling and invoicing managed by our team
Minimal administrative workload
Opportunity to progressively build a caseload across Melbourne’s eastern and south-eastern suburbs
Independent community-based work
Opportunity to work with a growing allied health and community services provider
About you
We are looking for a physiotherapist who is confident working independently in the community and who provides reliable, professional and person-centred care.
We are ideally looking for someone with at least 1 year of community physiotherapy experience.
To be considered for the role, you will require:
Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
Minimum 1 year of community physiotherapy experience preferred
Current Australian driver's licence
Access to a reliable vehicle
Current comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
Your own current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
Ability to provide your own physiotherapy equipment required for community-based assessments and treatment
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current Working with Children Check
Current National Police Check
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good clinical documentation and time-management skills
Ability to work independently in a mobile/community environment
Experience working with NDIS, disability, aged care or community clients will be highly regarded.
Who this role would suit
This position may be particularly suitable for a physiotherapist who:
Already works part-time or full-time and is looking for additional work
Wants flexible hours without having to find or manage their own clients
Enjoys working independently in the community
Is comfortable travelling between clients
Has their own equipment and is set up to work independently
Wants the opportunity to gradually build additional hours and a larger caseload over time.
