Your New Role and Responsibilities

At Leidos Australia, our Matrix Engineering Team is a hub of technical excellence, supporting mission-critical programs across Defence, Intelligence, and Federal Government portfolios.

As IBM DataPower Engineer you will:

• Evaluate existing IBM DataPower Gateway implementations and recommend upgrade pathways aligned to business needs.
• Develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective architecture for upgraded DataPower environments.
• Manage data migration, validation, and transition with focus on minimal downtime and integrity assurance.
• Implement monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and governance using existing enterprise tools.
• Provide knowledge transfer and support to ensure long-term sustainment and operational readiness.

What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact

• Demonstrated delivery in DataPower Gateway upgrades or implementations.
• Deep understanding of the IBM software stack and integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience integrating DataPower with other IBM platforms such as IBM Verify.
• Practical experience using Bash, Korn Shell, or Python for automation.
• Experience with WebSphere, Db2, MQ, ACE, or modern DevOps capabilities (CI/CD, containers, IaC).
