About the role

Join our Risk and Assurance Team at AGL Macquarie - Bayswater Power Station. Reporting to the Compliance, Assurance & Risk Manager, you will support governance, compliance, assurance and risk management activities across the business while providing specialist advice and driving continuous improvement.


What You'll Be Doing

• Lead compliance, assurance and audit activities to support regulatory obligations.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and provide advice on emerging risks and requirements.
• Maintain compliance and risk systems, registers, reporting and governance processes.
• Build capability through stakeholder engagement, training and specialist advice.
• Support business risk management, including Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) obligations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across governance, risk and compliance activities.

About You

A proactive and collaborative professional with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, you will bring sound judgement, a practical approach to governance and compliance, and a passion for improving business practices and risk outcomes.


What You'll Bring

• Experience in risk, compliance, assurance and/or audit environments.
• Qualifications in governance, internal audit, risk management, compliance management, law, business, or a Certificate IV in Compliance and Risk Management.
• Experience working with risk and compliance frameworks and systems.
• Strong knowledge of audit and assurance processes.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to identify improvement opportunities and drive positive change.

Nice to have

• Energy industry or heavy industry experience.
• Familiarity with ISO 31000 and ISO 37301/19600 standards.
• Knowledge of Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) legislation.
• Experience using risk and compliance management systems.
