About Us

Bluff Point Medical Centre (BPMC) is a locally owned and operated practice in Geraldton. Due to the Practice's rapid expansion, we are looking for a medical receptionist to join our close-knit team.

BPMC has 7 General Practitioners consulting from the center all providing a variety of services including skin medicine, travel clinic, aged care and anesthetics to the hospitals and women's/men's health.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed applicant to join our practice team. The successful applicant will be someone who enjoys customer service and can maintain a high attention to detail with data entry and confidential information.

Early October Start, initially Wednesday to Friday. Progressing to a full time role.

The Role

Provide a high standard of administrative support to our patients and GP's 
Answering telephone calls, scheduling of appointments and enquiries
Triaging patients and monitoring waiting room
Welcoming and greeting patients
Handling accounts, banking and Medicare batching
General administrative/reception tasks associated to the role

As the successful candidate you will have:

• Previous experience in a receptionist role

• Ability to work under pressure in a calm and professional manner

• Experience with Best Practice software is desirable but not essential as training will be provided to the right applicant

• Proficient computer skills 

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Professional presentation with a high level of customer service skills

• Ability to be a team player
