Safety Supervisor

The Opportunity

Join Veolia Water as a Safety Supervisor and be the driving force behind our operational safety performance. We're looking for a passionate safety professional to champion our health, safety, and environmental standards across our QGC Water Treatment Assets.

In this role, you'll implement best-practice HSSE systems, coordinate safety training and inductions, conduct audits, and ensure every team member goes home safe every day. What you'll be responsible for

Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSSE management systems across water treatment assetsCoordinate safety training, inductions, and audits to ensure compliance with legislative and contractual requirementsAnalyse incidents, near misses, and hazards to drive corrective action programsManage injury support and return-to-work coordinationAdvise management on HSSE issues and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changesProvide supervision coverage across operations, environment, and maintenance areas as neededChampion our Always Safe Charter values across the workplace

What you'll need to be successful

Formal qualification in OH&S or significant hands-on experience in a comparable safety roleKnowledge of Queensland HSSE legislation and HSSE auditing practicesDemonstrated experience implementing safety management systemsStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
