Manager Business Continuity & Third-Party Management

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager to join our Operational Risk team in Toowong. This manager role reports to the Senior Manager of Operational Risk and is pivotal in supporting the design and embedding of resilience requirements across Auto & General. You will leverage expertise in business continuity, third party management, and risk advisory to enhance our operational resilience framework and ensure the Group is prepared to manage disruptions and maintain critical operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Group's resilience strategy
• Ensure resilience frameworks including business continuity and third-party management are robust and capable of addressing various risks
• Support business impact analysis and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and disruption scenarios
• Develop and maintain processes for managing third party risks, including due diligence, monitoring, and vendor resilience assessment
• Support 2nd Line advisory services in accordance with the Group's Supplier Risk Management Policy
• Support the creation, testing, and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans
• Act as an SME for CPS 230 implementation and ongoing adherence
• Oversee periodic testing of business continuity plans including scenario exercises and tabletop reviews
• Provide 2nd Line support during disruptive events as part of Crisis Management response
• Undertake data analysis and reporting on resilience indicators and business adherence with frameworks
• Support regular reporting to the Executive Committee and Board
• Act as a resilience SME for risk in change activities and key strategic decisions

What You'll Bring

• At least 4 years in resilience or enterprise risk roles
•  In-depth knowledge of APRA prudential standards, particularly CPS 230 and CPS 234
• Relevant tertiary education
• Experience supporting crisis management and business continuity activities
• Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
• High-impact presentation and demonstrated leadership capabilities
• Experience supporting risk reporting for various business levels including the Board
• Experience with policy and framework development
• Proven ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders
• General insurance industry knowledge (highly regarded)
