About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Patient Affairs function and play a key role in developing and delivering the local Patient Affairs strategy. You will build trusted, ethical partnerships with patients, caregivers and patient advocacy organisations.
Working across Medical, Market Access, Commercial, and Corporate functions, you will have the opportunity to influence strategy, champion patient perspectives and drive meaningful patient-focused initiatives.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Developing and maintaining long-term, ethical and compliant relationships with patients, caregivers and patient advocacy organisationsFacilitating patient advisory boards, co-creation workshops, listening programs and other engagement initiativesDeveloping and implementing the local Patient Affairs strategy in alignment with regional and global prioritiesLeading patient-focused projects that address identified patient needs and measuring their impactPartnering with patient groups to identify opportunities for collaboration across relevant therapeutic areasSupporting the development of a strong patient-centric culture across the organisationEnsuring all patient engagement activities are conducted in line with company policies and the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct
The successful candidate will have:
Experience within the pharmaceutical industry, patient organisations, Patient Affairs, Patient Advocacy or a closely related functionDemonstrated experience working directly with patients and/or patient advocacy organisationsStrong stakeholder management, influencing and networking skillsHigh emotional intelligence and genuine empathy for patients and caregiversStrong project management skills with the ability to take initiatives from strategy through to executionMedicines Australia Code of Conduct CEP certification
Most importantly, you will be passionate about putting the patient voice at the centre of healthcare. This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional pharmaceutical functions and directly influence how patient needs, lived experiences and insights shape strategy and decision-making across the organisation.
