Chef de partie

Our team is expanding, so we are on the hunt for a motivated and passionate Chef de partie to join the kitchen team at our newly established and thriving café in Turner Beach.

This is a hands-on role suited to a chef who takes pride in their work, enjoys working with fresh, local produce and is ready to take ownership of their section while continuing to develop their skills

About the role

The role can we either permanent part-time or full-time - whatever best suits the right person.

You'll work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver a creative, seasonal menu to a consistently high standard — from preparation and service through to plating and presentation. You'll take responsibility for your allocated section while working as part of a supportive and professional kitchen team. There will also be opportunities to contribute ideas for specials, menu development and seasonal changes.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the preparation and operation of your section

• Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard

• Complete daily food preparation

• Maintain high standards of presentation, quality and portion control

• Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef during service

• Assist with functions, specials and seasonal menu changes

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment

About you

• Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery

• Previous experience in a professional commercial kitchen

• A genuine passion for local food and hospitality

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• A calm, can-do attitude under pressure
