About You
If you're someone who loves making things happen behind the scenes and delivering exceptional experiences, this is an opportunity to play a key role in RMIT's Alumni Engagement team. You'll coordinate a diverse range of alumni activities, events and communications, ensuring programs run smoothly from planning through to delivery while helping create meaningful experiences for RMIT graduates and alumni communities.
We're looking for a highly organised coordinator who enjoys juggling multiple priorities, building strong working relationships and bringing strong attention to detail to everything they do. Whether you're coordinating event logistics, preparing communications, supporting reporting activities or helping deliver significant engagement initiatives, you'll be a trusted member of a collaborative team focused on strengthening connections with RMIT's alumni community.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Experience coordinating and delivering events, from high-end bespoke activities through to broader engagement events.
Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to work independently and keep multiple priorities and deadlines on track.
A natural ability to build positive working relationships with alumni, senior colleagues and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Clear and engaging written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to prepare communications, briefings and reports.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across teams and with diverse stakeholder groups.
Experience using CRM, event management or communication systems to support well-organised, data-informed engagement activities.
Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to holding a valid Victorian Working with Children Check and other checks as required by the role.
About Advancement
The Engagement Portfolio provides integrated, strategic leadership across the University to advance RMIT's reputation, reach and revenue. Advancement develops and leads engagement with the University's alumni community, leads fundraising in support of institutional priorities, and stewards donors and alumni to generate measurable impact.
To Apply
Please submit your CV and a covering letter outlining your suitability for the position, including examples of relevant experience in event coordination, stakeholder engagement, communications, or delivering engagement programs.
