About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and organised Traffic Scheduler / Coordinator to join our Traffic Operations team.

This role will support the day-to-day scheduling of our traffic control workforce, ensuring the right people are allocated to the right jobs while supporting the smooth delivery of services to our clients.

Working closely within the Co-Ordinator Team, you will play an important role in supporting operational efficiency and maintaining strong communication with Management, Traffic Controllers and customers.

This position would suit someone looking to build a career in workforce coordination and scheduling. Full training will be provided by our experienced Traffic Coordinator, making this a great opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn.

We are open to applicants from a variety of backgrounds. Whether you have experience in scheduling, administration, customer service, logistics, hospitality, workforce coordination or another fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

For those already working in the traffic industry, this could also be an excellent opportunity to transition from field-based work into an office-based coordination role.

Please note that this role generally commences at 7:30am, so the successful candidate will need to be comfortable with an early start.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily scheduling and allocation of Traffic Controllers to operational requirements.
• Work closely with Contract Managers to ensure labour resources are effectively allocated to upcoming and current projects.
• Communicate schedule changes and operational requirements to employees in a timely manner.
• Monitor workforce availability and assist with meeting operational staffing requirements.
• Support the ongoing development and performance of employees by identifying training and development opportunities.
• Complete administrative tasks associated with traffic operations, including timesheet approvals and invoicing support.
• Maintain accurate records and scheduling information.
• Build positive working relationships with employees, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support a strong safety culture across all aspects of traffic operations.
• Undertake other duties as required.

Essential Requirements

• Good computer literacy and confidence using technology and business systems.

• Reliable, adaptable and committed to providing excellent service.
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency or unrestricted working rights in Australia.

Desirable

• Experience in scheduling, rostering, workforce planning or coordination.
• Experience in administration, customer service, logistics, transport, construction or operational environments.
• Knowledge of the traffic management industry.
• Current traffic management qualifications or experience as a Traffic Controller.
