About the role

MACKAY KAWASAKI is seeking a Spare Parts/Accessories Assistant to join our team on a casual basis with an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the retail and consumer products sector, specifically within spare parts and accessories sales. Based in North Mackay QLD 4740, this role offers a chance to develop your retail expertise in a dynamic environment. You will be instrumental in supporting our customers by providing product knowledge, assisting with selections, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting customers with the selection and purchase of spare parts and accessories

• Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently

• Maintaining knowledge of current product inventory and stock levels

• Organising and restocking shelves and display areas to ensure products are easily accessible

• Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer enquiries in a professional manner

• Operating the point-of-sale system accurately and securely

• Contributing to a clean, safe and welcoming retail environment

• Following company policies and procedures consistently

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers

• Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work casual hours as required

• A willingness to learn about spare parts and accessories products

• Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and managing stock

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for providing quality customer service

• Physical capability to lift, carry and organize products safely
