Production Manager

What you’ll Do

As Shift Manager at our Prospect NSW site, you’ll lead day-to-day warehouse production flow within a fast-paced cold storage distribution environment. Reporting into the site operations leadership team, this role is focused on keeping people, product, and process moving safely and efficiently across the operation.

This is not a food manufacturing production role. Internally known as Production Manager, the position leads Team Managers and warehouse teams to ensure effective labour planning, workflow coordination, service delivery, safety, and continuous improvement across a major operational area.

Roster: Monday to Friday, day shift.

Essential Functions

• Lead operational performance across the Prospect NSW warehouse operation, ensuring service, safety, productivity, and cost targets are met.
• Build a positive, team-based culture through effective communication and leadership. 
• Coach and mentor team members, identifying development opportunities. 
• Manage customer relationships and promote a partnership approach. 
• Support daily labour planning, workflow coordination, budgeting, and cost control across the operational area.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, occupational safety, and company policies. 
• Oversee site housekeeping, maintenance, and sanitation standards. 
• Recruit, train, and develop supervisor-level staff.
• Monitor progress, report on performance, and drive continuous improvement.

What Experience and Education You Need

• 3–4 years of proven operational leadership experience within warehouse, logistics, distribution, or cold storage environments.
• Experience using WMS systems and data to monitor performance, identify issues, and drive operational improvement.
• Experience within a cold storage environment would be highly advantageous. 
• Strong experience managing KPIs and operational budgets. 
• Proven project management and stakeholder engagement skills. 
• Strong influencing and decision-making capabilities.
