Registered Nurse - Cardiac

Lake Macquarie is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Cardiac Ward. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment caring for patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures.

Permanent, full-time opportunity available, working night duty. 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac environment
• Monitor and manage post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
• Care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures
• Perform cardiac monitoring and recognise/respond to patient deterioration
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Support patients and families through recovery and education
• You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery in alignment with hospital policies.

Essential Criteria

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 12 months cardiac experience
• Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• Highly organised with a proven ability to manage emergency situations
• Demonstrates strong adaptability in dynamic situations
• Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal

Remuneration
A competitive salary: A base hourly rate of $40.24 - $56.52 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties and allowances (*NSW RN/Midwife Gr1-Gr8*)
