As a Program Delivery Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting rehabilitation and reducing the risk of reoffending by delivering approved criminogenic programs to inmates at Clarence Correctional Centre.

Working within the Rehabilitation & Reintegration team, you'll assess inmate suitability for programs, facilitate therapeutic interventions and monitor participant progress. You'll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support meaningful behavioural change and positive rehabilitation outcomes.

About Clarence Correctional Centre

Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional centre in Australia.

Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, approximately 6 hours' drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane, our region offers rainforests, epic headlands, sand dunes and some of Australia's best beaches, together with vibrant multicultural cafés, restaurants and welcoming community towns.

As a Program Delivery Officer, you'll make a positive impact by:

• Assessing inmate suitability for participation in Offence Related Programs
• Delivering therapeutic programs that address identified criminogenic needs
• Facilitating programs that respond to individual needs, including mental health, disability, literacy, age and cultural considerations
• Managing program participants and responding professionally to challenging behaviours
• Monitoring inmate participation, progress and program outcomes
• Preparing accurate, evidence-based reports and maintaining required documentation
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support inmate rehabilitatio
• Developing strategies to improve program attendance and participant engagement
• Supporting the development of a trauma-focused through-care model across the Centre
• Participating in supervision, professional development and continuous improvement activities

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Certificate qualification in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Services or another related discipline, or relevant industry experience
• Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Case Management), or willingness to complete within the first 12 months of employment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to facilitate programs and work effectively with individuals and groups
• Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm and focused in challenging situations
• Ability to prepare accurate, high-quality reports within required timeframes
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and time-management skills
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and other IT applications
