Conveniently positioned in the heart of Thornhill Park, our vibrant and inclusive Children's & Community Centre serves as a cornerstone for early childhood development and family support in our neighborhood

About the role

• This is a part-time, max term position - Maternity Cover; offering 24.75 hours per week
• The rostered working days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
• The position is covered under VECTEA terms and conditions
• Paid time off is provided during term breaks on a pro rata basis
• Please note: Provisionally registered teachers will not be considered for this position

Who we are looking for

• Minimum two years of teaching experience as an Early Childhood Teacher
• Full VIT registration.
• Practical expertise in including children with additional needs, and in working with children and families with trauma backgrounds.
• Possess the skills to role model excellence in teaching—scaffolding and documenting children's learning in play-based, child-led pedagogy.
• Able to contribute to a child-centered, friendly team.
• Known for being positive and energetic.
• Interested in joining a community of passionate and like-minded ECEC professionals.
• Seeking career progression opportunities while working close to the local community.
