About the Role

Our Network, Security and Communications team is looking for a talented Solutions Engineer to join their amazing crew! As a technical member of the team, you’ll focus on implementation, management, maintenance, and support of network, security, and communication solutions for small, medium, and enterprise customers.

You’ll respond promptly to service requests, provide support for Firewalls, Switches, Wireless Networks, and Endpoint Protection solutions across leading vendors. You’ll also proactively monitor customer environments, respond to alerts, and generate monthly reporting as part of our Managed Service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Service Support, Managed Services, and Implementation Services within the Network, Security & Communications team. Respond promptly to technical service requests, support escalations, and alert notifications.
• Support internal and Managed Service customer network environments.
• Implement security solutions (Firewalls, Endpoint Protection) and network solutions (Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points).
• Maintain current knowledge, vendor certifications, and industry best practices.
• Follow ITIL and Change Management processes.
• Participate in an ad-hoc on-call roster for customer and internal faults.
• Work to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and customer deadlines.

Main Tasks:

• Maintain Managed Services, process change requests and produce reports.
• Act as an escalation point for Level 1 Helpdesk technical requests.
• Assist senior engineers with hardware staging for projects.
• Monitor alerts and respond to service requests proactively.
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, and in-person.
• Carry out configuration changes across Firewalls, Switches, Wireless networks, and Endpoint Protection products to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform regular maintenance of security and networking appliances.
• Generate monthly Firewall and Network reports.
• Maintain management and monitoring systems.
• Provide ad-hoc support for internal and customer faults and outages.

What You’ll Bring

• Active certifications with Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
• Previous experience in a Networking and Security team with proactive monitoring.
• Knowledge of Network switching (Branch & Data Centre) across Cisco or HPE Aruba.
• Strong understanding of Routing & WAN (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, VPLS).
• VPN expertise (ADVPN, IPsec, SSL).
• Experience with Next-Gen Firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
• Wireless LAN experience (Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet).
• Exposure to RADIUS platforms (HPE Aruba ClearPass or Cisco ISE).
• Proficiency in using network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SNMP, Syslog).
• Telephony knowledge (SIP, Unified Comms, Contact Centre environments).
• Endpoint Security knowledge (Anti-Virus solutions).
• Understanding of VMware and Hyper-V environments.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with strong organisational skills.
