Blaster/Painter

Favcote WA office is located at Naval Base, we are seeking Blaster Painters to join our teams. This full-time role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality painting and surface preparation services for our diverse range of defence and industrial clients.

Site location - Naval Base, Cuff, Garden Island HMAS Sterling and other off site locations

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare surfaces using abrasive blasting techniques (including blasting materials and mechanical prep) to achieve the required finish

2. Apply a variety of paint coatings and finishes to surfaces using brush and roller and spray-painting equipment

3. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, meeting client specifications and industry regulations

4. Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver projects on time and within budget

5. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all health and safety protocols

6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our painting and surface preparation processes

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Blaster Painter or similar role in the painting/surface preparation industry is preferred

2. Some knowledge of abrasive blasting techniques and the application of a wide range of paint coatings is preferred

3. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

4. Trade qualifications or certificates, such as a CERT III in surface prep & Coating applications Certificate III in Painting and Decorating is preferred

5. White card is essential

6. Confined space & working at heights is desirable

7. Valid work visa accepted for candidates with appropriate Australian work rights
