Procurement and Supply Chain Lead

This is a senior leadership opportunity leading the end-to-end supply function overseeing procurement, supplier management, supply planning, ERP governance, analytics and 3PL performance. This exciting role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, shaping the supply roadmap while driving supplier negotiations, process improvements and operational excellence. Managing a complex portfolio of 500+ ingredient and packaging SKUs, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands strong commercial acumen, planning expertise and structured problem-solving. This is fresh food at pace: weekly planning cycles, constantly evolving menus and short shelf-life ingredients, where sharp decision-making shows up directly in availability, waste and margin.
What you’ll be doingManage and develop a small teamLead sourcing, procurement, supplier negotiations, and contract management.Drive cost optimisation, supplier performance, and strategic sourcing initiatives.Oversee demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory optimisation.Manage stock availability, substitutions, and waste reduction across 500+ SKUs.Own ERP supply configuration, master data governance and MRP processes.Deliver supply analytics and reporting to support business decision-making.Manage 3PL relationships, logistics performance and SLA compliance.Drive DIFOT performance, freight optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.Partner with Commercial, Culinary, Operations, Technology and Finance teams.Support product launches, promotions, margin objectives and customer experience.
What we’re looking forThis role suits someone who is commercially sharp, highly autonomous and execution‑focused.You’ll likely bring:Proven experience within the food industry and/or ingredients category is highly essential.Proven sourcing and supplier management experience, with a track record of delivering COGS improvements.Strong supply planning expertise in fast-paced, demand-driven environments.Proven Leadership experience, with a track record of building capability and performance in a small teamExperience managing 3PL partnerships and driving service performance outcomes.Strong commercial acumen combined with operational excellence.The ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and execution-focused.Experience within fresh food, meal kits or similarly complex, short shelf-life categories will be highly regarded.
