Estimator - Residential Construction

Due to our continued success and business growth we are looking to add to our Estimating team with a Construction Estimator to support our sales and production staff.

Previous experience in a similar role, Carpentry Trade, Building or Drafting background an advantage but not necessary, training in all estimating software will be provided.

The Role

We are searching for a confident, industry-experienced individual who demonstrates the ability to work well within a structured, team-orientated culture. 

You will be exposed to a varied array of residential construction projects where your responsibilities will include:

 Role Responsibilities:

• Estimating on a wide range of homes including single story, split-level and double-story designs

• Reading and interpreting construction plans

• Creation of pre and post-contract variation pricing

• Work within the key indicators of an Estimator (accuracy & efficiency)

• Compiling preliminary standard pricing and preparing accurate base cost for standard projects.

• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills.

• Construction advice to sales team.

The following are preferred, but not essential: 

• Knowledge of Construction plans, Specifications, Building practices and materials, work and safety standards related to residential homes.

• Relevant estimating and or trade experience and qualifications for working on volume and/or custom build projects

• Experience with estimating software an advantage

• Computer literacy,

• Excellent communication skills required for both internal employees and external suppliers and stakeholders
