Reporting to the Operations Manager, this full-time, experienced Landscape Leading Hand role is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of landscaping projects for our clients in the Surf Coast, Geelong and the Bellarine. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical part in ensuring our clients' visions are brought to life through expert project management, client communication, and on-site team leadership.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and executing detailed project plans ranging from small- or large-scale landscaping projects

• Managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

• Supervising and coordinating the on-site landscaping team to deliver high-quality work

• Maintaining strong relationships with clients through regular communication

• Identifying opportunities to improve project efficiency and profitability

• Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards

• Leading an on-site team of differing skill sets and levels of experience offering guidance and training where required

What we are looking for

• Strong working knowledge and skills of landscaping materials, techniques, and equipment, in soft and hard landscaping

• Proven on-site team leadership experience

• Some plant knowledge and irrigation experience

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients, management, design team and on site team

• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results

• Operation of skid steer and excavator, along with trucks and other vehicles- desirable

• MR License - or can be obtained

• Excavator and Skid steer - extra training can be provided

• Relevant qualification or experience in landscape construction

• Help coordinate and organise the daily ongoing maintenance of both earthmoving equipment and vehicles
