Job Description
Help clients start strong in global custody by making onboarding smooth, accurate, and on time. You'll play a key role in converting new and incremental wins into live, operating custody accounts. You'll work closely with partners across relationship coverage, client service, onboarding, transitions, and local market agents. As a Client Account Services Associate in Client Account Services, you execute custody account openings and coordinate market documentation to enable new and expanding client relationships. You'll capture business requirements, manage timelines and dependencies, and ensure high-quality setup across systems and local market partners. You'll help identify and resolve issues early to keep deliverables on track and aligned to agreed service levels. You'll also contribute to reporting and continuous improvement that strengthens execution, controls, and client experience.
We support clients across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia (excluding Japan) through account opening, documentation coordination, and change activity such as restructures, launches, transitions, and exits. Priorities can shift with client activity, so you'll work in a flexible team environment that values clear communication, strong execution discipline, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate and govern the set-up of custody account openings for new and incremental business, ensuring accurate setup and timely completionCoordinate market and tax documentation requirements to support account activation across relevant jurisdictionsPartner with relationship coverage, client service, onboarding, and transitions teams to confirm requirements and deliver to agreed service levelsLiaise with local agents and service providers to progress documentation, clarify requirements, and resolve blockersTrack milestones, dependencies, and timelines to keep work progressing and stakeholders alignedRespond to account opening and documentation inquiries with clear, solution-oriented communicationUpdate account reference data to maintain high data quality and operational readinessMaintain procedure documentation to reflect current processes and control expectationsIdentify risks, issues, and process gaps early, escalating appropriately and proposing practical improvementsContribute to reporting on key performance indicators and key risk indicators for stakeholders and leaders
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
5 years of experience in global custody, fund services, or securities services operations with direct account opening exposureDemonstrated knowledge of custody account structures and market documentation requirements across multiple jurisdictionsProven ability to manage multiple concurrent requests with competing deadlines and changing prioritiesStrong stakeholder management skills, including clear written and verbal communication with senior internal and external partnersDemonstrated ability to identify operational risk, investigate issues, and drive timely resolutionExperience tracking service level commitments and delivering work to agreed timelines and quality standardsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Experience coordinating onboarding activities across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia (excluding Japan) marketsFamiliarity with custody account opening workflows, controls, and documentation standards across omnibus and segregated modelsProficiency using AI and generative AI tools to improve business processes while adhering to data privacy, risk, and compliance requirements.Experience working with local agents and third-party service providers to progress documentation and resolve exceptionsExperience contributing to operational reporting, including defining and improving key performance and risk indicatorsExposure to custody platforms or account opening tools used in large financial institutions
