Castle Hill High School is a large, comprehensive secondary school. The school has 138 teaching staff and 1825 students, 62% of whom are from a non-English speaking background. Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, 

1. Capacity to work in partnership as an additional Head Teacher of Mathematics leading a large faculty, with an emphasis on setting and maintaining high expectations.
2. Proven ability to use data to identify priorities and lead improvement in teaching practice and student performance.
3. Demonstrated expertise in Mathematics, including the successful implementation of the syllabus through effective planning, programming, and mentoring of staff in senior courses, particularly Extension Mathematics.
4. Highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead staff in developing, implementing, and evaluating high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment practices; motivate staff; support professional learning; and work effectively with students, parents, and the school community.
