About the role
Key responsibilities
End-to-end bookkeeping for a portfolio of business across a range of industries.
Accounts payable and receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations.
Payroll processing including STP reporting, superannuation and leave entitlements.
Preparing and lodging BAS and IAS.
Month-end reconciliations and preparing files to trial balance for review.
Client contact - answering queries, chasing missing records, onboarding new clients onto MYOB.
Assisting with year-end workpapers and supporting the accounting team as needed.
About you
At least 5 years' bookkeeping experience, ideally within a public practice or multi-client environment.
Strong working knowledge of MYOB (essential).
Solid understanding of GST, BAS preparation and Australian payroll obligations.
Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent (or working towards).
Accurate, organised, able to juggle multiple client deadlines.
Confident communicating directly with business owners.
