The Opportunity
This is a meaningful opportunity to play a vital role in supporting children and young people in care by helping to create safe, stable and nurturing foster placements. As a Foster Care Case Manager, you will work closely with dedicated volunteer foster carers, providing guidance, supervision and ongoing support to ensure positive placement experiences.
In this collaborative role, you’ll be the key point of contact for coordinating each child or young person’s day-to-day needs, working in partnership with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes. You’ll also contribute to identifying and establishing placements, including specialised therapeutic foster care, while supporting trauma-informed approaches that promote healing, stability and long term wellbeing.
This position offers the chance to make a genuine difference by strengthening placements, supporting carers, and helping children and young people thrive.
About You
You are a committed and values‑driven case manager who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people in out‑of‑home care.
You Will Bring
Experience in case management, foster care, child and family services, youth work or a related fieldStrong understanding of trauma-informed practice, child safety and out-of-home careAbility to build positive relationships with children, young people, carers and key stakeholdersStrong advocacy, communication and documentation skillsAbility to manage competing priorities in a complex service environmentA Bachelor’s degree qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Welfare, Community Services, or a Diploma qualification with 5 years minimum of relevant experience
