Enrolled Nurse Day Surgery - Casual

About The Role

We have a great opportunity for enthusiastic Enrolled Nurses to join our Day Surgery team on a Casual basis. Monday to Friday flexible roster, with occasional weekend shifts available.

Duties And Responsibilities

This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.

Deliver evidence-based care: Monitor patient wellbeing and administer safe, high-quality treatment tailored to each stage of their hospital stay.Prepare for safe surgery: Ensure the facility, equipment and clinical environment are ready to support safe, efficient surgical care.Prioritise and monitor patient safety: Maintain clear team communication, assess patient progress, respond promptly to changes or complications, and keep patient safety central to all decisions.Support recovery at home: Provide clear education, guidance and reassurance so patients feel confident managing their recovery after discharge.Guide and support colleagues: Supervise and support on shift, fostering confidence, teamwork and safe practice.Champion improvement: Promote continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospital.

About You

You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:

Solid experience as a Day Surgery Enrolled NurseCurrent AHPRA registration as an Enrolled NurseAbility to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors, staff and other stakeholdersSolid time management, organisational and communication skillsExperience in our hospital’s specialties desirable

Vermont Private Hospital is a modern purpose-built day surgery/ short stay hospital with excellent facilities, specialising in Ophthalmology, Plastic and Cosmetic surgeries, Orthopaedic, Oral & maxillofacial, Vascular, Interventional Pain Services.

Our hospital includes 5 fully integrated operating theatres, stage 1 and stage 2 recovery areas and a 19 bed overnight ward.
