As a Rural Ranger, you’ll be on the frontline protecting our region’s land, animals, and biosecurity. You'll work outdoors, engage with the community, and ensure compliance with important laws
In This Diverse Role, Your Daily Activities Will Include
Providing high level customer service to members of the public and internal stakeholdersCarry out compliance checks and provide expert adviceHandle and manage animals and pests humanely and safelyCollaborate across teams to improve environmental outcomesMaintain clear records and respond to public enquiriesMonitor and manage stock routes and pest activityAssist with grant applications for rural projectsIssuing infringement noticesRecording and reporting of incidents
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:
Experience in pest and livestock management, enforcement, or rural complianceConfident communicator with good judgementStrong time management and teamwork skillsKnowledge of local government operations and relevant legislationDriver's licence (C class)Working with Children (Blue Card) (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)Collaborate across teams to improve environmental outcomesMaintain clear records and respond to public enquiriesMonitor and manage stock routes and pest activityAssist with grant applications for rural projectsIssuing infringement notices
