Junior Estimator

Zweck is an internal Group Services division that partners with Aizer Group. We are seeking a Junior Estimator for our partner Aizer Insurance Builders.

We complete large volume Natural disaster insurance repairs across Queensland and Northern NSW which provides variety across the estimating role including fire, cyclone, flood, hail and storm events.

About the Role

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our team. Based in our Burleigh Heads Office, this is a supportive, office-based role where you’ll be guided by experienced mentors and gain hands-on exposure to the building and insurance industries.

This role would be ideal for students completing study in a relevant field, recent or upcoming graduates, or tradespeople looking to transition off the tools — and we're open to full-time, part-time, or casual arrangements for the right person.

Reporting to the Claims Operations Manager, your role will involve:

• Assisting with the review and compilation of building assessments completed by our field assessors

• Supporting the production of accurate scopes of work and pricing for high-volume building repairs

• Collaborating with senior team members to meet project deadlines and client expectations

• Managing correspondence and providing professional support to clients

• Learning contract management and industry best practices in a team-focused environment

About You

You’re enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a strong interest in building, estimating, or insurance. You’re also committed to delivering excellent customer service and working collaboratively as part of a supportive team.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• Experience (or relevant study) in the building, construction, or insurance industries

• A customer-first mindset with good communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational and time management abilities

• A willingness to learn and contribute to team goals

• Computer literacy and a keen interest in developing technical skills

• A current and valid Driver Licence

A trade qualification or experience with estimating software is advantageous but not essential.
