About the Role

As our Estimator, you will play a critical role in assessing property damage and preparing accurate scopes of work to support insurance repair claims. You will conduct on-site and remote assessments, coordinate specialist trades, and develop detailed reports that ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements and insurer expectations. Working closely with customers, insurers and internal teams, you will manage stakeholder expectations, maintain accurate systems and contribute to the smooth progression of claims. This is a fast-paced and technical role requiring strong attention to detail, sound construction knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct property damage assessments and prepare detailed scopes of work and causation reports.
• Coordinate make-safe works and engage specialist trades for complex assessments.
• Ensure all estimates comply with building codes, legislation and HSEQ requirements.
• Manage communication with customers, insurers and stakeholders throughout the assessment process.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation across internal systems and insurer platforms.
• Deliver estimates within agreed timeframes while ensuring cost accuracy and minimal variations.

About You

• Trade certificate or tertiary qualification in construction, Builders License, White Card and current driver’s licence
• Previous experience in a building estimating, insurance assessments or construction-related roles
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and relevant building codes
• Demonstrated experience preparing scopes of work and damage causation reports
• Strong attention to detail with excellent written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems and work in a fast-paced environment
